SPORTS: Wenger ready to unleash ‘sick’ Aubameyang on Everton II 042 reporters

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is suffering from sickness and a fever but is still set to be handed his Arsenal debut at home to Everton on Saturday. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be handed his first start as one-half of the attacking pair who have arrived as Arsenal’s two high profile January signings.

Mkhitaryan came on as a substitute in Tuesday’s defeat at Swansea and manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the Armenian will start against Everton. But Aubameyang is struggling to be fit as he recovers from illness. Arsene Wenger has not ruled out his new signing acting as the spearhead of a new-look attacking frontline between now and the end of the season. Wenger said on Friday morning: ‘He (Aubameyang) started (training) yesterday but wasn't completely well. I will see with the medical department. ‘He is a typical striker with great pace and a good ratio between games played and goals scored. He is a team player.’
