SPORTS: Nigerian and Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji dies II 042 reporters





- Former captain of Enyimba FC Chinedu Udoji is dead 



- The defender died on Sunday night, February 18, in Kano state - Udoji was involved in an accident while returning to his lodge The entire football fraternity in Nigeria have been thrown into serious mourning on Sunday night, February 18, following the untimely death of Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji. The 28-year-old veteran Nigerian Professional Football League player died in a fatal motor accident while he was returning to his lodge in Kano. Chinedu Udoji played for Kano Pillars on Sunday evening, February 18, against his former club Enyimba at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kofarmata in Kano which ended 1-1. 

After the Nigeria Premier League game, Udoji decided to go and spend some time with his former teammates at Enyimba in their hotel. He was then involved in an accident while returning to his lodge and died immediately.
